Veterans arrested at Vietnam War Memorial in NYC (video)
On, October 7, 2013, the anniversary of the “invasion and occupation” Afghanistan (remember that, it’s still happening), a group of antiwar protestors affiliated with Veterans For Peace and others from We Are Change gathered at the Vietnam Memorial in NYC to read off the names of New Yorkers killed in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq.
The protestors had filed for a special use permit to stay through the night and read the names of those killed in action, but the permit was rejected. The group chose to honor the fallen anyway. You won’t believe what happened next…
